This Liberty ship was named for Cyrus T. Brady (1861-1920). Cyrus Townsend Brady was a clergyman and author. Brady graduated from the Naval Academy, was a clergyman in the Episcopal church, and the author of fiction and non-fiction. His most well-known work is Indian Fights and Fighters.
