Dredging: Changes in land use and structure in order to accommodate larger ships can lead to economic vitality but long-term effects can be deleterious to to the environment.  Safe, efficient mechanisms and plans for dredging are needed.

Offshore Ports: The design of cargo delivery systems to offshore ports requires analysis of components to address safety and long-term vitality.

Port Operations: Shifts and changes in port and shipyard operations affect vessels, workers, and port owners.  Making operations more seamless, faster, and easier is a goal that can help all stakeholders of the maritime industry.
