Christopher G. Moore
Special Assistant to the Administrator 

Christopher Moore was appointed by the Maritime Administrator, Sean T. Connaughton, to serve as his Special Assistant on March 23, 2007.  In this capacity Mr. Moore serves as a key advisor to the Administrator and Deputy Administrator in the day-to-day operations and management of the Federal Agency. 

His previous assignments with the Maritime Administration include the Office National Security Plans and on the staff at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.  Prior to joining the Maritime Administration Mr. Moore served on active duty as a Marine Corps Officer in various command and staff positions.  He is currently serving on the USMMA Alumni Foundation Board of Directors.

 Mr. Moore earned his B.S. in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, his M.S. in Engineering Management from Long Island University, and his M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies at the Naval War College.  He maintains his USCG license as a Third Assistant Engineer for both steam and motor vessels.
