Maritime Administration Issues New Report
The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) today released a
new report,
The report is divided into two sections, Highlights and Summary Tables. The Highlights section includes selected time series (1999-2003) detailing traffic by vessel type. The Summary Tables section presents traffic by major commodity groups, contiguous and non-contiguous trades, and shipping and receiving coasts. The traffic data throughout the report is presented in metric tons and metric ton-miles.
The report is available in print or CD-ROM formats, or it may be downloaded from the MARAD website at www.marad.dot.gov/marad_statistics.
